Franklin County Family Court Judge Report Card

Judge George Leach | Judge Elizabeth Gill | Judge James Brown | Judge Douglas Nobles | Judge Lasheyl Stroud | Judge Kim A. Browne

Franklin County family court judges are elected, yet they almost always run unopposed (The Ohio Bar Association sees to this). Judges' campaign committees solicit massive funds from the very law firms that appear before them, creating a serious conflict of interest. These funds flow directly into the judges' pockets at the end of every election cycle.

Your reviews help families navigate this utterly corrupt system and expose these "public servants" running a billion-dollar industry that often prioritizes law firm profits over the protection of Ohio’s children.

Great soul. You can tell he actually cares about the families in his courtroom. He was patient during a very emotional hearing and took the time to explain his reasoning clearly.

Extremely biased toward the mother from the start. I provided proof of missed visitations and she completely ignored it, focusing instead on my work schedule. If you are a father, be prepared to fight uphill.

Very strong on domestic violence issues. He took the time to ensure the civil protection order was handled correctly. He can be grumpy, but he gets the safety aspects right.

Very experienced judge. He knows domestic relations law better than most attorneys in the room. He can be short with you if you aren't prepared, so make sure your paperwork is in order.

It felt like he didn't even read the motions before the hearing. We had to explain the same financial facts three times and he still seemed confused by the tax implications.
